15 DAYS Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech

DAY 1 – Welcome to Casablanca:

Starting from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, you’ll embark on a journey along the picturesque Ain Diab’s coastal Corniche. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to explore the grandeur of the Hassan II Mosque, which stands as the world’s second-largest mosque. After your exploration, you can settle into your chosen Casablanca hotel for a comfortable stay.

DAY 2 _ Casablanca-Rabat-Chefchaouen:

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your accommodation in Casablanca this morning, we’ll hop into our vehicle and set our course towards Chefchaouen. Our day’s itinerary includes a stop in Rabat, where you’ll have the chance to explore some of the city’s most captivating landmarks, such as the “Royal Palace,” “the Hassan Tower,” “Oudaya Kasbah,” and “the Mausoleum of Mohamed V.” Along the journey, we’ll also make key stops at significant points of interest. Following this, our journey continues until we arrive at the enchanting blue-hued city of Chefchaouen. You’ll spend the night at a charming riad or hotel nestled within the heart of Chefchaouen.

DAY 3 –Full day to explore the blue city Chefchaouen:

Today is dedicated to exploring the finest attractions in Chefchaouen. Commencing with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on a journey to discover Chefchaouen, Morocco’s most renowned tourist destination. What sets Chefchaouen apart is the stunning blue palette that adorns the entire Medina. As you wander through the labyrinthine lanes of Chefchaouen’s Medina, make your way to the summit, where the illustrious “Ras El Maa Waterfall” provides a breathtaking vantage point to take in the city’s rocky landscape. Along your ascent, you’ll encounter notable landmarks, including the serene “Outa El Hamam Square,” a charming hub with cozy cafes and inviting restaurants. The 18th-century “Kasbah” stands as a meticulously restored walled fortress, adorned with a captivating garden right in the heart of Chefchaouen’s square. Conclude your day with a visit to the 15th-century “Grand Spanish Mosque.” Rest assured, your overnight stay in Chefchaouen promises further enchantment.

DAY 4 – Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes:

After savoring your morning meal in Chefchaouen, we’ll embark on our journey towards Fes, the regal city. Today’s itinerary includes a fascinating stopover in Ouazzane. Our path leads us to Volubilis, a Roman stronghold nestled in the southern reaches of Morocco, where you’ll witness the remnants of history and be awed by the mosaic floors that once graced the imperial residences.

Our next destination awaits in Meknes, where we’ll encounter Morocco’s grandest gate, Bab El Mansour, along with the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and the Sahrij Souani. A delectable lunch will be savored at a nearby restaurant near “the square of El Hedim” in Meknes, granting you the opportunity to explore this captivating locale. On the following day, we’ll make our way back to Fes, where you’ll check in at your chosen hotel or riad for a restful night.

DAY 5 –  Full-day trip to explore the city of Fes:

The day kicks off with an immersive journey through the Medina, a colossal walled labyrinth that ranks among the world’s largest. As we wind our way through its narrow lanes, you’ll encounter vibrant displays of fruits, aromatic spices, exquisite Berber rugs, and a treasure trove of handcrafted goods. We’ll make stops at several mosques, including the venerable Mosque Quaraouiyine, which dates back to the year 859, and the Mosque of Andalusia.

DAY 6 – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert:

Today, we bid farewell to Fes and embark on a scenic journey. Our route will lead us through Ifrane, a charming French-inspired ski town that bears a striking resemblance to Switzerland. From there, we’ll venture into the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we’ll dedicate the morning to immersing ourselves in the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the region.

Following this, we’ll pause for a delightful lunch in Midelt, a town renowned for its fossil treasures. Continuing our voyage, we’ll traverse the rugged terrain of Tizi N’Taghamt and meander through the picturesque Ziz valley, offering you a perfect opportunity to absorb the breathtaking vistas. Our onward journey will lead us to the enchanting Merzouga desert, where we’ll rest for the night in a comfortable hotel or riad nestled in the heart of this mesmerizing landscape.

DAY 7 – Sahara sightseeing – Camel ride – Desert camp:

Today’s adventure unfolds amidst the captivating landscapes of Erg Chebbi’s sand dunes and its surrounding town. As the day begins, relish a hearty breakfast at your hotel, setting the stage for the experiences ahead. You’ll have the opportunity to visit Sahara desert nomads who continue to dwell in traditional Berber tents and engage in a warm tea-sharing moment with them. Subsequently, we’ll journey to Khamilia, a vibrant Gnaoua community, to immerse ourselves in their rich music and culture. A flavorful lunch will be enjoyed among welcoming locals.

In the latter part of the day, we’ll leave our vehicle behind in Merzouga and set out on a mesmerizing camel trek across the towering dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert. The crowning moment arrives as we witness the sun’s descent from a lofty dune, painting the desert in breathtaking hues. Following this awe-inspiring spectacle, you’ll return to your desert tent for a peaceful night’s rest. To round off this memorable day, a sumptuous dinner awaits, complemented by live Berber music performed by local nomads beneath the starry desert sky, where you’re invited to dance to the rhythms of this captivating culture.

DAY 8 – Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:

Following a hearty breakfast, our journey will lead us away from the expansive desert expanse. Our first destination is Rissani, a once-thriving Saharan caravan hub. If the day falls on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday, you’ll have the chance to explore the largest souk in the region, offering a vibrant and bustling experience. Our next stop is Erfoud, aptly nicknamed the “fossil town.”

We’ll drive through picturesque landscapes, passing through Jorf, Tinjdad, Ait Aissa Ou Brahim, and the enchanting Todra valley—a verdant oasis embraced by adobe settlements and towering mountains. The journey then continues to the Dades valley, where you’ll be mesmerized by the Todra gorges, a narrow canyon boasting vertical cliffs that reach heights of 300 meters. This is a haven for climbers and nature enthusiasts. Lunch will be served with a captivating view of the valley.

Post-lunch, we’ll set out to explore Dades Valley, unveiling its captivating sand castles, unique “monkey toes” rock formations, and exquisite mud kasbahs. To conclude the day, you’ll find respite in a valley-view hotel or riad, ensuring a serene night’s rest amid these captivating surroundings.

DAY 9 – Dades Gorges – Boutaghrar – Kalaat M’Gouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate:

Today, our journey from Dades Valley takes us through a captivating route that traverses Boutaghrar, Roses Valley, and Skoura, ultimately leading us to the enchanting Ouarzazate. We’ll veer off the main road to venture into Boutaghrar, where a scenic trail guides us to a community of cave-dwelling nomads, allowing for a unique cultural encounter.

Our next destination is Kalaat M’Gouna, also known as Roses Town, renowned for its annual May festival. We’ll then continue our expedition to Skoura, a place graced with some of Morocco’s most exquisite kasbahs, including the resplendent 17th-century Kasbah of Amridil. Following a delightful lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city’s wonders.

As the day progresses, we’ll embark on a scenic journey to Ouarzazate through the lush oases of Skoura. You’ll find your comfortable haven for the night in a well-appointed hotel or riad, nestled in the heart of Ouarzazate, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

DAY 10 – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Taroudant:

After savoring a delightful breakfast at your hotel, our day kicks off with a visit to Ouarzazate’s renowned Hollywood of Africa Film Studios. We’ll then make our way to the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. This mesmerizing location has served as the backdrop for an array of blockbuster films, including “Gladiator,” “Lawrence Of Arabia,” “Game Of Thrones,” “The Jewel Of The Nile,” “The Mummy,” and many more. Prepare to immerse yourself in the captivating history of this Kasbah.

Our journey continues as we ascend over the majestic Atlas Mountains, pausing for a satisfying lunch in the quaint Berber village of Taznakht. We then head towards Taliouine, often referred to as “The grandmother of Marrakesh.” In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Taroudant, where you’ll have the chance to explore the vibrant Medina, replete with Berber and Arab markets, as well as ancient ramparts. Your overnight stay will be nestled in a charming riad or hotel within the heart of Taroudant.

DAY 11 – Taroudant – Agadir – Essaouira:

Following a delicious breakfast, we’ll bid adieu to Taroudant and set our course towards Essaouira, with a scenic stopover in Agadir along the way. Agadir has been a beloved destination for travelers for decades, renowned for its sun-kissed beaches, modern amenities, and its burgeoning surf scene. We’ll pause here for a delightful lunch.

Post-lunch, we’ll amble along the picturesque seafront, soaking in the coastal charm, before resuming our journey to Essaouira. Along this coastal route, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the region’s famous argan trees, where goats are known to climb trees in pursuit of nuts and leaves. Our voyage ultimately leads us to Essaouira, often referred to as the “Jewel of the Atlantic,” where you’ll find your restful retreat for the night in a charming riad or hotel.

DAY 12 –  Full-day trip in Essaouira:

Our day will be dedicated to the exploration of this enchanting town, known as Mogador in its Portuguese past, fortified with the influence of Vauban-inspired French architects. Our journey begins with a visit to the Skalla fortress ramparts, offering a compelling start to our exploration. We’ll then meander through the narrow alleyways of the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll have the opportunity to admire the intricate Thuya wood crafts created by local artisans.

A well-deserved pause for lunch awaits us at Essaouira’s bustling harbor, renowned for its delectable fresh seafood offerings. Thanks to Essaouira’s exceptional climate, which keeps winters mild and summers refreshingly cool, it has earned the moniker of the “City of the Wind” and serves as a magnet for surfers from across the globe. The town’s rich history bears the imprints of Romans, Phoenicians, and Portuguese rulers, shaping its distinctive architecture. It’s a place steeped in heritage.

Notably, Essaouira comes alive with the annual “Gnaoua music” festival in the second week of June, where both African and international artists gather to perform. Afternoons grant you the freedom to explore at your leisure. As night falls, you’ll retire to your Essaouira riad or hotel for a restful overnight stay, immersing you further in the town’s captivating atmosphere.

DAY 13 – Essaouira – Chichaoua – Marrakech:

Our journey commences in the morning as we bid farewell to Essaouira and set our course towards Marrakech, often described as the “gem of the South.” This region is known for its Argan trees, and you might catch a glimpse of goats perched in the branches, nibbling on the precious Argan nuts and leaves. We’ll also have the opportunity to visit an Argan oil women’s cooperative, where you can discover the versatile uses of this valuable oil, spanning from culinary delights to beauty regimens and health practices.

Anticipate reaching Marrakech by midday, where you’ll have the freedom to unwind at your chosen hotel or venture into the vibrant Jamaa El-Fna Square. Here, you’ll be captivated by the lively performances of dancers and the mesmerizing skills of snake charmers. As the day draws to a close, you’ll retire to a nearby riad or hotel in close proximity to Jamaa El-Fna Square, ensuring a comfortable night’s rest in the heart of Marrakech’s bustling energy.

DAY 14 – Marrakesh Sightseeing – Full-day trip in Marrakech:

Following a hearty breakfast, your day in Marrakech will be enriched with a guided tour to explore the city’s many wonders. Our itinerary includes visits to the Bahia Palace, the serene Menara Gardens, the imposing Koutoubia Minaret, the historic Tombs of Saadian, the engaging Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the exceptional Dar Si Said, known for its outstanding Berber artifacts.

After indulging in a revitalizing break at a café within the bustling central plaza, we’ll continue our journey by strolling through the lively souks of the medina, where the vibrant tapestry of Marrakech’s daily life unfolds. You’ll conclude your day with a delightful dinner and a restful night’s stay at a charming inn or riad nestled within this vibrant neighborhood.

DAY 15 –  Marrakech or Casablanca – Transfer to the Airport:

As we arrive at the culmination of our unforgettable 15-day journey, which embarked in Casablanca and wound its way through the mesmerizing landscapes of Morocco, our dedicated driver will escort you to either Marrakech or Casablanca airport.
