6 Days Fes desert tour to Merzouga

day 1: Arrival in Fes

Depending on your arrival time and the likelihood of making initial contact with the city, we will either pick you up at the airport or take you to the hotel on the first day of our 6-day desert journey from Fes to Merzouga.

Day 2: Visiting of Fes

An full day devoted to exploring the most scholarly city in the kingdom. There are several monuments that you are able to see: In Medersas (Koranic Schools): Bouinania Attarin, Chahrij. Souks, Fes El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque (the earliest university in the world).

Day 3: Fes – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will start Our third day of 6 day Fes Desert tour to Merzouga Sahara, traveling to Merzouga via Ifrane. We’ll traverse the Cedar Forest to reach Tafilalte and the Ziz Valley. We will ride camels to the Merzouga desert camp in the afternoon and spend the night beneath a nomadic tent. Dinner and sleeping arrangements in the tents

Day 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Dunes.

The desert is already where you are! Savoring the enchantment of the dunes Following our early morning admiration of the stunning sunrise image in the dunes, we ride the 4 x 4 back to the hotel where we meet these lands: the flamenco-filled Dayet Srji lake, and the home of a family of Gnawa or Bambara musicians, who are descended from slaves who came from Black Africa and will enchant us with their traditional music. We will see some semi-nomadic households that make their way across the sea of sand and stone as we approach the dunes where the Paris–Dakar pass passes. An authentic journey! We’ll head back to the hotel in the afternoon to spend the night

Day 5: Merzouga – Middle Atlas – Fez

After breakfast, travel via Rissani, the old Moroccan commercial center, to Fes. We will proceed towards the Ziz Valley, crossing via Tafilalet and admiring its panoramic views of Palmerales and Gorges. After arriving to AZROU, we will take in the breathtaking views of the Middle Atlas and the Forest of the Cedars, as well as the mandatory stop to observe the free-living monkeys. After that, we’ll go through IFRANE, sometimes referred to as “Moroccan Switzerland,” and arrive in Fez in the afternoon.
That concludes our second to last day of a six-day desert trek from Fes to Merzouga.

Day 6: Fez – Airport

Our 6-day Fes desert excursion to Merzouga comes to a close with the agreed-upon transfer to the Fez airport.
