Depending on your arrival time and the likelihood of making initial contact with the city, we will either pick you up at the airport or take you to the hotel on the first day of our 6-day desert journey from Fes to Merzouga.
An full day devoted to exploring the most scholarly city in the kingdom. There are several monuments that you are able to see: In Medersas (Koranic Schools): Bouinania Attarin, Chahrij. Souks, Fes El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque (the earliest university in the world).
After breakfast, we will start Our third day of 6 day Fes Desert tour to Merzouga Sahara, traveling to Merzouga via Ifrane. We’ll traverse the Cedar Forest to reach Tafilalte and the Ziz Valley. We will ride camels to the Merzouga desert camp in the afternoon and spend the night beneath a nomadic tent. Dinner and sleeping arrangements in the tents
The desert is already where you are! After enjoying sunrise in the dunes, we return by 4×4 to discover the region: the flamenco-filled Dayet Srji lake and a visit with Gnawa musicians, descendants of slaves from Black Africa, who perform traditional music. Along the way, we’ll spot semi-nomadic households near the dunes where the Paris–Dakar once passed. An authentic journey back to the hotel for the night.
After breakfast, travel via Rissani, the old Moroccan commercial center, to Fes. We will proceed towards the Ziz Valley, crossing via Tafilalet and admiring its panoramic views of Palmerales and Gorges. After arriving to AZROU, we will take in the breathtaking views of the Middle Atlas and the Forest of the Cedars, as well as the mandatory stop to observe the free-living monkeys. After that, we’ll go through IFRANE, sometimes referred to as “Moroccan Switzerland,” and arrive in Fez in the afternoon.
