We will depart from Fes and travel through southern Morocco’s Sahara desert before arriving in Marrakech, the red city of Morocco. Fez is a charming city that attracts tourists because it is an ancient city surrounded by hills and forests, making it one of the most beautiful places in the area, and it takes pleasure in the city’s tiny lanes, mosaic art, and arched doorways, as well as the ancient Moroccan architecture that has not been altered by contemporary architectural intervention.

Savoring the enchantment of the dunes Following our early morning admiration of the stunning sunrise image in the dunes, we ride the 4 x 4 back to the hotel where we meet these lands: the flamenco-filled Dayet Srji lake, and the home of a family of Gnawa or Bambara musicians, who are descended from slaves who came from Black Africa and will enchant us with their traditional music. We will see some semi-nomadic households that make their way across the sea of sand and stone as we approach the dunes where the Paris–Dakar pass passes. An authentic journey! We’ll rise early to see a breathtaking dawn, and then, following breakfast, we’ll ride a camel back to Merzouga before heading to Rissani. We’ll go to the biggest market in the region and then on to Erfoud, where you can see the factory that makes marble and fossils. We proceed via the palm grove of Touroug and Tinijda to reach the canyons of Todra, a river bed that generates vertical-wall canyons, considered an attraction for climbers. After lunch and a stroll around the gorges, we’ll head towards the Valley of Dades for supper and a stay at the hotel.
We will take in the greatest vistas of the Dades Valley and other tourist-oriented kasbahs. Later, we traveled via Skora’s vast palm grove and the Valley of Roses before arriving in Quarzazate, where we saw the Kasbah de Taourit, the former home of the Pacha Glaoui. After that, we travel to Ait Ben Haddou and see the well-known Kasbah, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. Numerous movies, including Gladiator, The Mummy, Obelix, and The Jewel of the Nile, have been filmed. After some free time for lunch, we will drive to Marrakech in the afternoon, making stops along the way to take pictures of the Tizi Ntichka mountain range. Arrival in Marrakech at 6:00 p.m., transport to the hotel, and end of the excursion.
Before heading to the west coast to explore the historic Portuguese port of Mogador, a little coastal fishing village that still has its defense systems intact from raids by seafaring invaders, we will tour a few of La Menara’s monuments.
