This 7-day itinerary is a classic and highly popular route through Morocco, designed as a one-way journey from the ancient city of Fes to the vibrant hub of Marrakech. It expertly combines the country’s most sought-after experiences, starting with a deep dive into the cultural heart of Fes, then heading north to the enchanting “Blue Pearl” of Chefchaouen, before making the dramatic southward journey across the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert.

You’ll arrive in Fes, and we’ll transfer you to your hotel so you can rest. In the afternoon, if you want to go somewhere for dinner, we can take you there.
Today you start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking through its alleys and small streets.
We begin by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter (the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, from the 16th century). We’ll make sure you see all cultural and historical sites.
After lunch, we visit the tiles cooperative, then enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.
After breakfast at your hotel/riad, we drive directly to Chefchaouen through the Rif mountains. The drive takes around 3 hours or more.
You’ll have a free afternoon to explore the town, and later you can walk up to the Bouzafer mosque to watch the sunset.
After breakfast, we start our journey toward Boulaajoul, passing through Volubilis – a Roman ruin that used to be the Mauritanian capital, founded in the 3rd century.
Entry fee: 100 MAD for adults, 50 MAD for children under 12.
Then we continue to Meknes to see the historical monuments. Most are under construction, but if they’re open, you can visit.
Later, we drive to the cedar forest, where you’ll see monkeys. After that, we continue to Boulaajoul for the night.
After breakfast, we drive to the Sahara Desert, passing through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock. You’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau – notice how the scenery changes to hints of desert as we approach Errachidia.
After lunch, we continue through the Ziz Valley and Erfoud, then arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll take a camel ride for a unique night in the desert.
After dinner at the luxury camp, they’ll play Berber music for you using drums.
After breakfast, we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a major trading center with a large souk – lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
After a stroll in Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud to visit a workshop of fossilized marble. Then we drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges – a grand canyon carved by the Todra river through red cliffs. Great spot for rock climbers. Feel free to wander and appreciate the beauty.
Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades Valley through Boumalne Dades
After breakfast, we travel through the Dades Valley toward Kelaa M’gouna – “the way of the 1000 kasbahs”.
We visit the city of Ouarzazate, then explore the local Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – the largest kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Then we cross the High Atlas mountains until we reach the city of Marrakech, where our 7-day trip ends.
