Day 1: Arrival in the Ochre City – Marrakech & 7-Day Journey from the Coast to the Sahara

Today, leave the city behind. Cross the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m altitude) in the High Atlas Mountains. Stop for panoramic photos of Berber villages clinging to cliffs.

Your main stop is the legendary Ksar of Aït Benhaddou – a UNESCO World Heritage site. This fortified village has served as a backdrop for Game of ThronesGladiator, and The Mummy.

  • Afternoon: Continue to Ouarzazate (the “Hollywood of Africa”) for a quick photo stop at the Atlas Film Studios.
  • Evening: Arrive in the Rose Valley and enjoy dinner at your hotel.
